Atomic Bent 90 continues to be one of the most versatile and approachable skis in the Bent lineup. While the Bent 100 often gets most of the attention, the Bent 90 deserves plenty of love for skiers who spend more time on firm snow, in the terrain park, or simply want a lighter, quicker ski underfoot.
At 90 mm underfoot, the Bent 90 feels noticeably quicker edge-to-edge than its wider siblings. It transitions easily between turns, feels comfortable on groomers, and has enough grip to keep confident skiers happy when conditions firm up. While it certainly isn't built to be a carving ski, it performs better on hardpack than many freestyle-oriented skis in this width category.
Like every Bent, though, the real magic comes from its playful personality. The lightweight construction, balanced shape, and generous rocker profile make the ski feel incredibly easy to maneuver. It pivots naturally, smears turns effortlessly, and encourages skiers to ski creatively rather than simply point it downhill.
Whether you're buttering rollers, hitting side hits, skiing switch, or spending the afternoon in the terrain park, the Bent 90 feels right at home. The flex pattern is forgiving enough to help progressing freestyle skiers build confidence while still providing enough support for more experienced skiers looking to push things further.
Outside the park, the Bent 90 remains surprisingly versatile. Bumps, trees, spring slush, and mixed snow are all well within its comfort zone. The ski's low swing weight and easygoing nature make technical terrain feel less intimidating and more fun.
What I appreciate most about the Bent 90 is that it doesn't force you to choose between freestyle skiing and all-mountain skiing. Plenty of park skis feel limiting once you leave the terrain park. The Bent 90 is perfectly happy spending the day exploring the entire mountain.
For younger skiers, progressing intermediates, or anyone who values maneuverability and creativity over brute force, the Bent 90 continues to be one of the best options available.
